Weekly general Information Sessions 🖥

Most Tuesdays at 7 p.m. is a live, small-group information session where you can meet with an Admissions Counselor, ask questions, and learn a little more about Skidmore.

STUDENT AMA CHATS  🖥

Select Thursdays at 7 p.m. is a live, small-group student chat where you can meet with several Skidmore students and ask all of your questions. These sessions are themed but we welcome all questions, regardless of the specific topic.

Writing Your College Essay

Writing THE college essay. We know, it can sound like a tall task. Which prompt to select? What to write about? What lens to use? What do colleges want to know? If these questions are swirling in your mind just know—you're not alone. We're here to help! Join Dean of Admission, Jess Ricker, and an admission counselor, for an insider perspective on how to write your college essay. We'll share with you what makes for a successful college essay and what institutions are looking to learn about you.

Creative Thought works 🖥

Monthly sessions September through December for prospective students and their families to learn more about  our multifaceted alumni, faculty, and current students who demonstrate the impact of Creative Thought at Skidmore. After their enriching Skidmore experiences, our alumni go on to run Fortune 500 companies, create and perform art, launch startups, solve the world's most complex problems, serve their communities, and much more. This series will highlight these inspiring individuals and their stories, emphasizing the endless opportunities possible with a Skidmore education.
